đż Gratitude, Grown Gently
Author: Kelly-Jo Farner
Kellyâs Literary Haven
I thank the wind for whispering truth,
The trees for holding ancient youth.
I thank the ache that taught me grace,
The quiet hands, the healing space.
The tears that fell, the ones I fear.
I thank the breath I didnât waste,
The love I found, the time I faced.
Gratitude is not just lightâ
Itâs roots that hold me through the night.
đ± Reflection Prompt: Rooted in Gratitude
After reading the poem and sitting with the image of glowing roots anchoring a tree in darkness, take a quiet moment to reflect:
What holds you steady when life feels uncertain?
Think of the people, memories, or inner truths that have helped you grow through hardship.
Write down one thing youâre grateful for that isnât loud or obvious â something quiet, like a breath, a glance, or a moment of grace.
Then ask yourself:
How can I nurture that root today?
Whether through rest, connection, or creativity, let your gratitude guide a small act of care â for yourself or someone else.
